More About Annissa

I didn’t choose resilience — life demanded it.

My story is not polished or perfect. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s full of moments that broke me open and forced me to rebuild from the inside out. I speak because I know what it feels like to lose everything familiar… and still find a way to rise.

My mission is simple:

to help people rise through adversity with honesty, courage, and compassion.

I don’t teach resilience from a textbook.

I teach it from lived experience — from the nights I didn’t think I’d make it, from the seasons where I had to rebuild my identity piece by piece, and from the purpose that emerged on the other side of pain.

The Story Behind the Voice

There was a time when my life looked nothing like it does now.

Loss, grief, and identity collapse forced me into a version of myself I didn’t recognize. But in that darkness, I discovered something powerful:

You don’t rise the same after life breaks you — you rise wiser, softer, stronger, and more intentional.

I rebuilt my life from the ground up.

I founded the first sober living home in my county.

I helped women reunite with their children.

I stood beside people in their hardest seasons.

I created community events, healing spaces, and opportunities for transformation.

Every chapter of my story has shaped the message I carry today.

My Work & Impact

My work has been recognized by:

• Mayors and community leaders

• Hospitals and mental health organizations

• Nonprofits and recovery programs

• Women’s empowerment groups

• Make‑A‑Wish community partners

I’ve led programs, built organizations, and supported people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

And through it all, one truth has remained:

Pain becomes purpose when you share it.

What I Believe

I believe resilience is not about being strong all the time.

It’s about being honest.

It’s about being human.

It’s about rising slowly, imperfectly, and with intention.

I believe every person has a story that matters — and that healing begins when we stop hiding and start speaking.

I believe the universe wastes nothing.

Not your pain.

Not your past.

Not your journey.

Everything you’ve lived through is preparing you for who you’re becoming.

Why I Speak

I speak because I know what it feels like to break.

I speak because I know what it feels like to rebuild.

I speak because I know what it feels like to rise again — even when you don’t feel ready.

My story is not just mine.

It belongs to every person who has ever had to start over.

If your audience is navigating change, loss, burnout, or reinvention…

If they need hope, grounding, and a message that meets them where they are…

I would be honored to speak at your event.
